Residential Apartments – Design, Supply & Installation of Steel Staircase and Steel Balustrade 

For this project we were called to make a site visit to an apartment block conversion which required a new public access staircase from ground to first floor apartments. The area where the staircase was required was extremely tight but with the experience of our team, we were successfully able to design a staircase meeting UK standards, the customers’ requirements, and budget.

Due to the confined space, we designed a mild steel staircase which could be easily assembled on site by our team. The single return staircase consisted of a double mid and top landing, all fixed by box section posts, steel angle hangers and new ‘I’ beam supporting steels – all supplied and installed by our certified steel fabricators. Treads were fabricated to take a concrete mix infill and the steel balustrade consisted of box section infills, flat handrail – side fixed to stringers.

With the use of our in-house spray-painting facilities, we finished the staircase and balustrade with a primer paint.
